The last two years have put me through the ringer — as life does. So first off, I must acknowledge that some years, shit just happens. People die. Illness, accident and loss are part of living life on life’s terms — so while I fully intend 2018 to be EPIC AF, I also acknowledge that this human life is messy — so shit may indeed happen (AGAIN)
With that said — I am practiced in the art of changing the things that I can, so here’s what I’m gonna do…
First Things First: Simplify
I’m going to keep it simple. I’m going to skip over the laborious planning. I’m going to drop the spreadsheets and planners and goal setting. I know pretty much what I want my year to look like. I created a planning worksheet that I feel will keep me focused on what’s important. Also, a daily inventory, because I think inventories are a great way to keep yourself accountable and going in the right direction.
I will be decluttering and purging. I don’t ever want my stuff to own me. I don’t ever want to feel like I can’t pick up, pack up and move without it being a huge hassle.
Number 2018 Word Of The Year & Core Desired Feelings
Exuberant. I also have some Core Desired Feelings/ways of being that I want to focus on: Fun, ease, freedom, adventure, expansion. I think there are a few more. Oh — transparency, boldness, authenticity.
I set an income goal. I know what I want to create moneywise this year. I believe the goal amount will support my visions for the year and help me cultivate the kind of life I desire.
I’m Gonna Make It Fun
I jotted down a list of things I enjoy doing both in and out of my business. How I like to engage people. What I enjoy creating. And just as important — what I don’t enjoy creating as much. For example: I LOVE Instagram. I will be focusing more and more on creating content for my ‘gram. Also, I really enjoy live video — but it scares the hell out of me. Getting over it will be challenging, but I’m up for it.
Not so excited about creating content for my FB biz pages, and honestly I don’t want to blog every day, either. So I will focus on what I love — and let the rest be what it is.
Going With The Flow
I’m going to (try to) stop overthinking every thing I do. I set some boundaries, narrowed down some areas of focus, set a few goals — that’s it. From there I will simply take action and see what happens. I am actively cultivating massive amounts of trust. Trust that the Universe has my back, that I have all the time I need to do all the things I want to do, and that What I want, wants me. (Those last two statements are two of my affirmations for the year!)
Finally, the biggest thing: Service. I am going to go full-on, jump in with both feet no holding back into 2018 with a mindset of service. Who can I serve? How can I serve them?
I’m going to worry less about hitting those numbers and goals and more about how I can create products and services that my audience needs. Also, what can I give?
More Finding My Tribe — And Not Being Afraid To Turn People Off — Or Piss People Off
This is going to be another big focus. I did definitely call in mentors, friends and teachers last year. It was something I specifically asked my HP (higher power) for and I absolutely got what I was looking for.
This year, though, I am asking to be connected with those that I can serve and build community with. Women in recovery. Specifically, women in recovery who want to stop settling. Who want to create. Who want to share their stories. Who want to let go of the beliefs that keep them broke, stuck and lonely.
Let’s do better than broke, stuck and lonely this year, mmmkay? Let’ go with abundant, joyful and connected. Let’s go with having more than enough. Let’s go with feeling satisfied and excited about the right now. Let’s have some fucking fun.
Peace out — and Happy New Year…
Thanks for stopping by! Please leave me a comment, I would love to get to know you better! And if you think someone else could benefit from this, give it a share.
